Course Description:

• The Heartsaver First Aid Course teaches how to manage illness and
  
   injuries in the first few minutes until Professional help arrives. Course
  
   content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury
  
   Emergencies. Optional topics include CPR and AED, and
  
   Environmental Emergencies. The American Heart Association 
   
   First aid & CPR Course meets all EMSA and OSHA as required
  
   for Childcare workers.
  
   

Course Length

• All modules:
  
  7½ hours approx.

  6½ hours without
  
  infant CPR

  First Aid only:
  
  3½ hours approx.

Intended Audience:

• For those who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac
  
   emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory
  
   requirements.

  Teachers, Daycare workers, Nannies, Adopting Parents, Coaches,
  
  Friends and Family, Etc.
